Expert Psychological Evaluations

Civil Litigation:

Dr. Williamson regularly conducts forensic evaluations in English and Spanish and provides expert opinions and testimony in matters related to clinical psychology.  He has testified on a range of issues including grief, depression, anxiety, malingering, and post-traumatic stress disorder, employment matters, and future care recommendations.  Dr. Williamson has given opinions in court as an expert in clinical and forensic psychology in immigration, state, and federal court over 100 times, testifying in federal court eight times and in multiple civil litigation cases resulting in multimillion dollar verdicts.

Worker's Compensation:

Dr. Williamson has been a licensed Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) in the area of clinical psychology for over 12 years.  He conducts evaluations related to industrial injuries in order to resolve disputes between employers and employees.  He conducts evaluations and administers psychological testing in English and Spanish and does not require a Spanish language interpreter.

Fitness for Work/Duty Evaluations:

Dr. Williamson has performed psychological fitness for duty evaluations for the United States Department of Defense Medical Review Board for over 15 years.  He also has consulted with, and provided work fitness evaluations for major corporations. 

Immigration:

Dr. Williamson has done extensive expert evaluations and provided expert testimony on issues related to immigration.  His expertise includes evaluations for:
  • Hardship waivers 
  • Cancellations of removal
  • Asylum (ethnic, political and religious persecution; torture; abuse of people related to sexuality, and others)
  • Recidivism/rehabilitation for previous crimes
  • Violence/abuse of immigrant spouses (VAWA)
  • Citizenship exam waivers (N-648)
  • Victims of crime (VOC)
Dr. Williamson has been retained as a forensic expert throughout California as well as in Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington state.  He has also been a retained expert by the United States District Attorney's office for federal cases.

Dr. Williamson conducts evaluations and administers psychological testing in English and Spanish and does not require a Spanish language interpreter.
