Ana Delia Hernandez, Psy.D. |
Hello and welcome to my practice. I am an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist, now becoming a clinical psychologist. My personal approach to therapy is an eclectic one, because I know from years of helping people that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to who we are. I try to see you as you really are without making false assumptions. Though my approach varies, my focus will often be on helping you connect with your inner resilience and develop a healthier perspective on navigating life’s issues. I use a strength-based approach and never forget that you are the expert of your own life.
Whether this is your first time seeking therapy, or you’re simply looking to continue the process of personal improvement you started previously, you’ve come to the right place. As a bilingual Latinx therapist, I am fortunate to be able to serve both Spanish and English-speaking clients who are seeking to find balance and growth with life situations. I understand the critical role that culture can play in life and therapy, and I work to understand my clients’ background and upbringing that has helped shape their world. Together, we will develop a plan that helps move you forward with your goals in your context. I am a California-licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT 120983) and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Los Angeles. I also obtained a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Latino Family Studies, from Pacific Oaks College. Additionally, I earned a doctoral degree in Applied Clinical Psychology, at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families.
